In today's world governments are grappling with new Public Policy
issues which are more citizen centric and require complex delivery
systems with appropriate legislative back up. Non Governmental Organizations
(NGOs) are also progressively getting involved in nation building
processes in the Public Policy domain through advocacy for performance
and service delivery. The Public Policy apparatus which operates
from a domestic centre platform requires to be fine tuned due to
the onset of such complex interplay where citizen is the key
player.
With a view to educating bureaucratic community, opinion makers,
civil society and NGOs to participate actively in the shaping and
operationalising of policy issues in the public domain through responsible
policy analysis and management tools, Rai Foundation has set up
a Centre for Public Policy. The Centre collaborates pro-actively
with other similar entities to meet its primary objectives.
