expert on this subject. Following issues were covered in his presentation:
- Evolution of the concept of Right to Information internationally
and in India
- Unique feature of the Indian Right to Information Act without
going into the specific provisions.
- The working of the Act so far
- The Flip side of the Act-particularly the selfish use of the
Act by a large section of the irresponsible citizens particularly
Government Employees.
- The corrective measures, mainly legislative, which are required
to make the Act more workable and less prone to misuse
